They are sports-themed and that's exactly the kind of book my library has been lacking in recent years. \r\n\r\nOn the first day of school I gave the children a sneak peek at the exciting books that were available to them in our classroom library. The excitement was audible when I introduced the \"sports fiction\" bucket of books to them! I spread them all out on the back table, so the children could share them more easily, and sure enough, 1/3 of my class came to choose their books from that selection!\r\n\r\nMy new class is a class of readers. You could have heard a pin drop as they silent read for longer than expected (15 minutes) on the very first day.
