It has been fun to challenge them to see who is finding it the quickest. Not only are they using it for the word of the week activities but they are using it whenever the need arises to find new information or just when curiosity arises. My students were so excited when they saw all the books on our Library Cart. The grade levels I teach still appreciate and love nice clean books. I know they definitely make my heart happy!\r\n\r\nMost of the books I requested were fairy tale classics and lower level books for my English Language Learners. Sadly, many of them have never heard of stories like Goldilocks and the Three Bears. I am really trying to enrich them in literature that I enjoyed as a child. You would be surprised to see how 4th grade students love to hear a fairy tale. We are able to actually compare how a character grows and changes in a story and have real life discussions and use problem solving skills to safely discuss how to stand for your beliefs with a challenging authoritative figure.
