We can print customized practice sheets, math games, visual models, and real-world problem-solving activities. This enables me to have differentiated organizers to help each student with their needs. ENL learners, can receive visuals such as models, number lines, and geometry diagrams. This helps make math easier to understand. Students also enjoy using the printer to create and display their own as data charts and graphs.\r\n\r\nThe printer helps to make learning feel more real and rewarding. They especially love math puzzles, and review games that they can take home to study with family members. This shows the students that problem-solving can be both rigorous and fun.\r\n\r\nA few students have really embraced this new technology. One student who enjoys art and math has started designing geometry posters. Another uses the printer to share her self-made math review sheets with classmates. The printer has turned math from a routine subject into a hands-on, creative, and collaborative experience for everyone.","fullyFundedDate":1758898798392,"projectUrl":"project/print-it-share-it-celebrate-it/9521844/","projectTitle":"Print It, Share It, Celebrate It!!","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Garavaglia","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp4196604_orig.jpg?width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1756947589328","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/4196604"},{"teacherId":9423552,"projectId":9041647,"letterContent":"Thank you so much for creating smiles for my young photographers with your donations. The photography club kids are so happy to have the tools they weren't able to gain access to. \r\n\r\nWhen we received the donations, the students were so excited. They expressed so much joy and were happy they all had access to everything they needed to learn about photography and develop new skills. Throughout the school year, students were able to practice and develop their photography skills during club hours. Most importantly, they were able to lead photography and video projects. They got are chance to independently create and support the school by documenting events. \r\n\r\nDuring the school year, the photography club was able to document events like career day, multicultural festival, the school's 100th anniversary, the school carnival, and bring your child to Work Day. Holm's \"The Third Mushroom\" into our classroom, and the impact has been nothing short of revolutionary! This single book transformed our students' relationship with reading, sparking a passion that will last long beyond these pages.\r\n\r\nBefore \"The Third Mushroom,\" many of my students considered themselves \"non-readers,\" struggling to find anything that truly captivated them. This book changed everything. Holm's engaging narrative immediately hooked them, introducing them to complex characters facing relatable challenges and a fast-paced, intriguing plot that kept them eager to turn every page. We learned about inferencing character emotions and motivations through realistic dialogue, and practiced tracking plot developments as we uncovered the mysteries within the story. The book's depth also allowed us to delve into themes of friendship, perseverance, and problem-solving, far beyond basic comprehension.\r\n\r\nReading in our classroom has completely shifted. What once felt like a chore now feels like an exciting shared journey. We devoured \"The Third Mushroom\" together, engaging in lively whole-class discussions where every student had a voice, eager to share predictions and reactions. You could literally see their eyes lighting up as the story unfolded! This shared experience fostered a genuine community of readers, where students discussed chapters with each other and even stayed after class to discuss the ending.","fullyFundedDate":1742925914670,"projectUrl":"project/book-two-a-gift-of-imagination-and-lea/9151683/","projectTitle":"Book Two : A Gift of Imagination and Learning","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Schmich","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp5623005_orig.jpg?crop=1146,1146,x453,y311&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1580129333285","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/5623005"},{"teacherId":3561068,"projectId":8894761,"letterContent":"We are incredibly grateful to have received all the materials funded through this project. Thank you so much for your generous support! Because of your contribution, our wellness room has been completely transformed into a safe, calming, and inspiring space where students feel welcomed, supported, and excited to grow.\r\nIt now serves as a dedicated space for yoga, mindfulness, journaling, and reflection—and has quickly become a favorite part of the students' week. One of the most impactful additions is our wellness library. Filled with books on mental health, emotional intelligence, and healthy habits, it has encouraged students to take ownership of their learning. They're reading independently and asking thoughtful questions about how to better care for themselves and others. We also created a cozy wellness corner in our classroom where students can reset, breathe, journal, or read quietly when needed. The yoga mats, props, SEL games, and manipulatives are used regularly, making practices like empathy, gratitude, and self-awareness more engaging. These resources have helped students build essential life skills, manage stress, set goals, and express themselves—all in a space where they feel safe, seen, and supported. We are so excited to celebrate with our students, teachers, and community. One idea we had to bring everyone together to celebrate all the wonderful events and programs we have had in this school over the years was to make a time capsule and include artifacts from current programs we have in the school. We would like to showcase the time capsule in our main office along with a count down timer that will go off in 10 years. Then, in ten years we will open the capsule and share all the artifacts with the school community of 2035.\r\nThe students are so excited to get things together and participate in the celebration when we fill and close the capsule. Unfortunately, the expectations placed upon teachers have continued to grow. One of my most important roles in school is the PBIS coordinator. PBIS is a behavior system that uses positive reinforcement to motivate the students to work hard and show respect. \r\nA huge part of our PBIS system is our PBIS \"Store\" where students can go to trade in the points they have earned for various items. Another reinforcement we use with our system is monthly activities. The only way we can advertise any of this information is make posters and flyers. This year my 20 year old printer finally went to retirement and I had no way to make posters and flyers. It was a huge problem and my school had no money in the budget to replace it. I was not able to advertise and share information with my students and as a result it became much harder for us to keep them motivated.\r\nGetting this new printer will help me share information with my students and help to get them excited about our program.
