With the new paints, brushes, and mixed media supplies. Each student selected an environmental concept or theme they cared about—like ocean pollution, deforestation, endangered animals, or climate change. Using the new acrylic paints, textured brushes, and recycled materials, they created individual canvas panels that visually expressed their topic.\r\n\r\nThank you for your support. Notebooks provide a space for students to take notes, complete assignments, and track their progress over time. Pencils allow for drafting, revising, and correcting work easily, encouraging students to keep improving without fear of making mistakes. These tools support foundational academic skills and help students develop good study habits.\r\nSupplies like scissors, glue, and colored markers enhance hands-on learning and creativity. When students are given the tools to create visual projects, diagrams, or posters, they are more likely to understand and remember the material. These activities also build fine motor skills and encourage students to express ideas in ways beyond writing. Having access to these materials fosters a more dynamic and interactive classroom environment where students can actively participate in their learning.\r\nThe students are happy seeing complete supplies in the classroom. They can do various activities because materials are available. Those supplies motivate students to be at their best. In a world where technology plays a big role in learning, these headphones allow my students to clearly hear directions, follow along with reading passages, and practice math and language skills without losing focus.\r\n\r\nWhat excites my students most is having their \"own learning space\" through the headphones. Many of them have told me that it feels easier to think when outside noise is blocked out. They love being able to listen closely during reading fluency practice or guided math games, and I can see their confidence growing each day.\r\n\r\nOne student in particular, who used to struggle with staying on task, now puts on the headphones and becomes completely absorbed in her work. Another student who often felt nervous during practice tests now says he feels calmer and more focused when using the headphones. These moments show just how powerful a simple tool can be in helping children reach their potential.\r\n\r\nBecause of your kindness, my students are better prepared, more confident, and excited about learning. Most of my students were able to use their notebooks since they don't have notebook. They've been waiting for their notebooks because we do have interactive notebook for ELA and they use it 4 times a week. All of them have their notebooks. I was happy to provide finally folders for their homework folder. Each one of them do have now a Homework folder. I was even able to laminate individual sound wall and multiplication facts so they have guide for the whole school year and laminating it makes it more durable. Glues and markers are our everyday needed supply because of our board work during ELA and Math time. Having a lot comforts me that we can continue using our board without worrying about markers. Notebooks, glues and scissors are very useful since we used it almost everyday for our interactive notebook for all subjects. \r\n I am just so thankful for your donations. For many of my students, having a snack during the day is not something they can count on, so seeing boxes of familiar, delicious treats just for them made a huge difference. From the bold, engaging math posters to the colorful reference charts and new calculators, it felt like the classroom got a much-needed makeover. Several students walked in and said, \"Whoa, it looks like a real math lab now!\" They immediately began exploring the new resources, pointing to formulas and vocabulary words they recognized — or were excited to learn.\r\n\r\nWe've already put the resources to good use. During our recent unit on fractions and decimals, the math decor became a constant reference point. Students regularly got up to check the posters for steps and formulas, which helped them feel more independent and confident. The new calculators have also made a huge difference — especially for students who struggle with computation and benefit from focusing more on problem-solving and reasoning.\r\n\r\nOne memorable moment was during a group activity where students were creating their own real-life word problems and solving each other's. One group used the reference posters to double-check their terminology while using the calculators to verify answers. They even decorated their workspace to mimic the new decor — it was a proud teacher moment seeing them take ownership of their learning environment.","fullyFundedDate":1722035701010,"projectUrl":"project/math-decor-calculator-a-classroom-diy/8493257/","projectTitle":"Math Decor & Calculator: A Classroom DIY for Better FYI","teacherDisplayName":"Mr. Paolo","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp9181009_orig.jpg?crop=3024,3024,x792,y0&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1714768183667","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/9181009"},{"teacherId":9181009,"projectId":8393307,"letterContent":"I'm so excited to share with you how your generous support has made a real difference in our classroom through the project, \"Fresh Air with Air Fresheners and School Supplies for Optimal Learning.\"\r\n\r\nWhen the supplies and air fresheners arrived, my students were immediately curious and overjoyed. Several even commented that it made it easier to focus and feel relaxed during work time.\r\n\r\nWe've been using the new school supplies daily — from writing journals and anchor charts to group projects where students are creating colorful posters, essays, and visual aids. This has helped many students recall information.\r\nThe laminator allowed us to make different celebrations more fun and informative. Whether we were honoring Hispanic Heritage Month or Native American Month, it allowed us to display pictures and facts that many students did not know about. They read these bits of information regularly and commented on the individuals they did not know who shared their heritage with them.\r\nSome of the students have become very adept in using the laminator, and so it has become their job to laminate any new documents that we will need to use over and over again. The air purifier has made a huge difference in the smell of our classroom and has lessened the allergies of many students who use the room on a daily basis. The iPad and accessories have transformed the way we engage with lessons, providing an interactive and dynamic learning environment. Whether it's using the stylus pen to write and illustrate complex math concepts or the Bluetooth speaker to enhance auditory learning during class activities, these tools have made math both more accessible and enjoyable.\r\n\r\nThe dry erase pen and board protractor have facilitated hands-on learning, where students can visually work through problems and see their progress in real-time. The meter stick is helping us to measure, calculate, and visualize geometric concepts in a way that is both practical and clear.\r\n\r\nThe addition of the iVacuum has also been a game-changer in maintaining a clean and organized classroom environment, which directly supports our learning space. The ability to easily clean up between lessons ensures that students remain focused and engaged without the distractions of clutter. This small but impactful tool has significantly improved the atmosphere and flow of the classroom.\r\n\r\nYour thoughtful gift has enabled me to create a classroom that fosters creativity, critical thinking, and collaboration.
