The previous years were really hard, trying to give my students what they really need to become better readers due to the pandemic. This school year, It could not be denied more and more third graders in my class significantly read at 1-2 years below grade level. As a reading teacher, my goal is to improve the reading level of my students. I will be focusing heavily on their reading skills because these are the priority skills they will need to become instructional, independent readers, and lifelong learners. The reading materials requested above will be used to improve the reading level of my students throughout the school year and the seating will allow my students to have a comfortable place to sit and read. With your help, I will be able to teach using reading intervention resources, differentiated strategies that will improve their reading levels and develop their love for reading. I am excited for my students to use my guided reading leveled books, encourage them to read according to their level, and monitor students' progress.
