Students in fourth grade have focused their designs on marine life while the fifth graders are focusing on creating textures with their designs. Once they have finished transferring their sketches to the metal, they will use the donated sharpies to add color to their projects which will emphasize their lines. After learning about, talking to fishermen, and visiting a fishpond on the windward side of Oahu, students took their knowledge to build their own. They children love manipulating the letters to pratice sounding out words.
