Your generosity means so much to me as an educator, but more importantly, it will have a meaningful impact on my students each day. The materials you have helped provide will allow me to create a classroom environment where students have greater opportunities to participate, collaborate, communicate, and express themselves in ways that are comfortable and meaningful to them. Having individual whiteboards available at student desks, as well as a class set for small-group activities, will be especially helpful for daily assignments, practice, brainstorming, and interactive lessons. Whiteboards give students the opportunity to demonstrate their understanding without the pressure that can sometimes come with completing work on paper. They also allow me to quickly see what students understand and where they may need additional support. These resources will make it easier for me to differentiate instruction and provide students with activities that meet them at their individual learning levels. I am also extremely grateful for the additional classroom supplies, including glue and cardstock. Our students have been working hard on a Real World Learning project in which they are creating dioramas, and this project has required a significant amount of materials. Their enthusiasm and creativity have been wonderful to see, and having the necessary supplies means that students can continue bringing their ideas to life without having to worry about whether we have enough materials to complete their projects. Your generosity is helping make hands-on learning experiences possible, and those experiences often become some of the most memorable and meaningful parts of a student's education.\r\n\r\nI am particularly thankful for the emotions spot plushes because they will provide another valuable way for my students to communicate their feelings and emotional needs. Every student communicates differently, and some children may struggle to find the words to explain what they are feeling or why they are experiencing a particular emotion. The emotions plushes will give these students a simple, nonverbal way to communicate. A student can choose a plush that represents how they are feeling and place it on their desk, allowing me and their classmates to recognize that emotion without requiring the student to speak before they are ready. This small form of communication can make a tremendous difference for a child who may feel uncomfortable, overwhelmed, frustrated, anxious, or unsure of how to explain what is happening inside them. It can help create a classroom culture in which emotions are acknowledged and respected rather than ignored or misunderstood. These resources will support my Social Emotional Learning lessons while also encouraging empathy, understanding, and kindness among my students. I believe that children learn best when they feel safe, supported, and understood, and these plushes will help me provide another tool for creating that kind of environment. I am also incredibly appreciative of the Lego bricks, magnetic blocks, and game-building materials for indoor recess. With a large class, it can be challenging to provide enough engaging activities for every student, especially when students are unable to go outside. Many of the materials currently available in our classroom are quite old, and some no longer capture the students' interest. The new building materials will give students opportunities to use their creativity, problem-solving skills, imagination, and teamwork during indoor recess. These items were selected with my students' interests in mind, which makes them even more meaningful. Instead of simply having something to occupy their time, students will have opportunities to build, create, experiment, and interact with one another in positive ways.\r\n\r\nThank you again for investing in my students and in their classroom experience. We know that these ottomans are very expensive and we would not have been able to purchase these on our own. I didn't know the procedures and steps to take after and actually came across seeing that I didn't send this submission because I luckily received an email to update my change of school and then saw this so I am submitting it now. I did the other submissions after this first one and was navigating around on the site and saw that where it shows my projects and etc. so now I am a little more aware of what to do. As you can probably tell I am not tech savvy when it comes to tech and my former partner will agree.\r\n\r\nAnyways, here is my overdue write up: When I was at my former school the students enjoyed using the equipment to help them work through and overcome their fears and other emotions through the interaction of the games dealing with heights and other various situational challenging virtual games dealing with each of their various feelings that arose when playing. When their anxieties, fears, frustrations, anger, and etc. came about, we were able to teach them coping skills to use and apply to work on their emotional regulation and behaviors. It also brought out some of the shy quiet students out of their shell because they had fun watching each other and playing and some of them became a little more social with their peers. Of course there were also some students that still had their challenges but it was an ongoing process in helping them.\r\n\r\nWhen I moved schools, my former partner took over using it with the students at my former school.
