Because of your donations, my students had access to valuable learning materials that helped them grow into confident readers, writers, and learners.\r\n\r\nThe journals, whiteboards, markers, and Play-Doh you provided became essential tools in our daily learning. Students used the journals to practice drawing, writing letters, words, and sentences. The whiteboards and markers allowed them to take risks, make mistakes, and try again as they learned letter formation and early writing skills. Play-Doh made learning hands-on and fun as students molded letters, practiced writing their names, and explored letter sounds and syllables.\r\n\r\nI am excited to share that our students have now graduated from kindergarten! Throughout the year, they made tremendous progress. Many entered kindergarten just beginning to recognize letters, and they are now able to write their names, identify letters and sounds, count syllables, and express their ideas through writing.\r\n\r\nOne of the most rewarding moments for me as their teacher was receiving thoughtful notes from my students for Christmas and on my birthday. The writing skills they developed throughout the year allowed them to independently create heartfelt messages, drawings, and cards. Seeing them use their writing to express gratitude, kindness, and personal thoughts was a wonderful reminder of how much they had grown. These special keepsakes are treasures I will always cherish.\r\n\r\nYour kindness extended far beyond supplying classroom materials. You invested in children's confidence, creativity, and love of learning. Every journal page filled, every name written independently, every thoughtful note shared, and every moment of pride a student experienced was supported by your generosity.\r\n\r\nOn behalf of my students and our classroom community, thank you for believing in our learners and helping make this a successful and memorable kindergarten year. Your support has made a lasting difference in the lives of these young students.","fullyFundedDate":1749804278275,"projectUrl":"project/writing-essentials-to-embellish-fine-mot/9208293/","projectTitle":"Writing Essentials to Embellish Fine Motor Skills","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Salamanca","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp9975976_orig.png?crop=398,398,x0,y0&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1747083175222","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/9975976"},{"teacherId":8572491,"projectId":9319358,"letterContent":"I am truly thankful for the bean bag and stool chairs donated to my classroom. They have been amazing additions to my classroom environment in fostering welcomeness and flexibility. \r\n\r\nOnce the boxes arrived to my classroom I waited for my students so that we could open them up together. Their faces were full of excitement just like opening presents one gets on their birthday. Once they saw the stools and especially the bean bag they were shouting things like wow that's amazing, we can read there, we can lay there. The joy they felt filled the room with such positive energy and I was eager for them to try the materials out. \r\n\r\nThe bean bag was mostly used at the end of the school year as a reading reward where students took turns reading with a partner. As the school year ended and a new school year has begun, the bean bag has been an emotional support tool for my brand new kinders. When having a tough time from separating from parents it has served as a calm place to lay and breathe, lay and cry for a bit as well as used for others in our calming corner. \r\n\r\nThe stools have been an amazing addition to have students excited to work in small groups with me and my paraeducator. They are eager to get started and take on the challenges ahead. \r\n\r\nOnce again I cannot thank you enough for your generosity and my kinders and I are incredibly grateful to you.","fullyFundedDate":1746786119434,"projectUrl":"project/comfort-and-security-through-flexibly-an/9319358/","projectTitle":"Comfort and Security Through Flexibly and Space","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Vega","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp8572491_orig.jpg?crop=1:1,smart&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1722637270454","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/8572491"}],"pageName":"schoolpage_36847","usesDonorsChoose":true,"infoPageType":"school","demographicsInfo":{"numStudents":644,"numTeachers":42,"percentFrplEligible":95,"percentAsian":0,"percentBlack":0,"percentWhite":4,"percentIndigenous":0,"percentLatinx":94,"showFreeAndReducedPriceLunchInfo":true,"showDemographicsInfo":true,"sourceTooltipString":"the National Center for Education Statistics","percentHawaiianImputed":0,"percentMultiracialImputed":0,"gradesServed":"1 - 5","studentTeacherRatio":"15.3:1","demographicsDataSource":"MDR School","equityFocus":true,"titleOne":true,"metroType":"URBAN","ncesMetroType":"CITY_SMALL"},"inStateSupporters":75.3,"schoolId":36847,"financialInfo":null,"twitterShareText":"Learn more about Adams Elementary School on @DonorsChoose:","schoolName":"Adams Elementary School","canonicalPageUrl":"schools/washington/yakima-school-district-7/adams-elementary-school/36847"}
