My students are from an inner city school which means most of my students live in poverty and struggle with day to day life. Many of my students come to school hungry or without clean clothes. My students are wonderful students who deserve to have every opportunity to learn efficiently. My students love coming to school everyday because they know they will get attention, support, many learning opportunities, food and most fun of all is the computer lab on Monday's! We love our Monday's. My students are learning to maneuver a mouse and find their way to websites by using a search engine. Our goal is to be able to teach another 1st grade classroom how to get to and create a picture using the paint program as well as accessing an educational website called TVOkids.com. This site is just one of many educational sites that we will explore but currently it is without sound. There are language sites that we plan to use to help my students gain academic rich language.
