We created a snack cart for the girls so that they may grab a snack whenever they wanted one. Some students arrive at 7:30am and don't dismiss until after school around 5pm so having tasty snacks for the girls really made a big difference as far as their energy levels. We sometimes watch movies while we do our craft activities and they girls loved being able to snack while watching a movie and working on their craft projects. \r\n\r\nThe girls were super excited when they found out that we got so many donations. Many of the students grabbed 2 and 3 snacks which we encouraged. About half of our girls live in shelters so something as simple as extra snacks at the end of the school day makes them feel supported.
