The iPad I am requesting is to allow my students to explore and learn digital drawing and digital art. Many of my students have varying developmental disabilities, and learning needs and drawing digitally is a new to be able to scaffold for them and support them to keep up with their peers. I also have students interested in pursuing careers and future’s in advertising, graphic, design, comics, and fine arts, and I want to be able to provide for them the opportunity to learn digital drawing early and to be able to apply for spots in specialized arts high schools, that are rarely given to students from schools like ours, with digital pieces in their portfolio. My students are motivated and eager to learn new technology and techniques for digital art work. The technology I have selected will let my students grow, learn, and develop as artists. With the iPad my students will be able explore photography, animation, digital drawing and will be supported in exploring their existing skills while not being limited by their disabilities and circumstances.
