By providing a supportive environment where scholars can express their feelings and learn healthy strategies for managing everyday challenges, the space can help them return to the classroom feeling more focused, confident, and ready to learn.\r\n\r\nThe impact extends beyond the counseling space. The skills scholars develop can support their academic success, relationships, behavior, decision-making, and overall connection to school. It was wonderful to see students who sometimes struggle with reading become curious and motivated to pick up a book. We have been using the new resources during independent reading, small-group instruction, and classroom discussions, and I have loved watching students recommend books to one another and proudly share what they have learned.\r\nMoving forward, we will continue using these resources to build stronger reading skills while helping students develop a genuine love for reading.
