The games and materials I have selected for my classroom are for my student's interactive use. All of the materials I have selected will be used for engagement centers in the classroom. This is my first year teaching 6th grade Math and Science and my goal is to make learning fun and interactive. The 24 Games I chose will challenge my students thinking and allow them to work collaboratively or independently to problem solve through using different math operations. I have also selected different flashcards that I can use for the students to solve equations to be released to other centers. I have observed my students and I have learned that they are more engaged when they have hands on activities to enhance their learning. Also, I have chosen different activity books and work books to build on my students learning. While some students may be more engaged with hands on, others like the idea of filling in the blanks or researching answers. I enjoy teaching and having extra resources with both math and Science. These will all help build on my student learning. All of the games and workbooks I have chosen can be geared towards students with different abilities and allow for more or less of a challenge.
