Welcome to my Birthday Giving page, now in its ninth year of supporting DonorsChoose by fundraising on my birthday. Last year I got the best present ever - my awesome daughter Ruby - and she is happy, warm, and well-fed. But many children around the country are not so lucky - they go to school hungry, with inadequate clothing, without basic necessities. Because of this, DonorsChoose is piloting a new category of projects that give food, warmth & care to students, and it is those projects that I will be supporting this year, in honor of Ruby (and in recognition that the times are becoming more urgent for kids such as these).
