This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Hi! Thank you so much for looking to do some good in the world by giving of your resources to the future leaders of our nation: our CHILDREN! My students are 28 amazing, kind, smart, and spunky kids. They have a knack for thinking outside of the box, and are all around great problem solvers and leaders.

My amazing students come from a variety of family compositions and overcome many social hurdles, such as food insecurity, and homelessness.

My students typically come from low-income homes where typically grandparents are the primary care-givers or the sole care givers.

My Project

My students and I started the school year on 100% virtual learning. Not seeing their sweet faces clearly or all on the same screen is super frustrating for them and for me.

Students need constant attention and having them all in front of me on one monitor will help me anticipate their learning needs and emotional needs better.

I don't know when we will go back, but I want to be sure that I did everything I could to help my students be successful for any challenges they will face academically.
