Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Storytelling is important, and students are increasingly using technology to tell their stories. With the addition of these cameras, tripods, and some extra storage media, the students who come to the library to work on film projects will be able to improve upon their communication skills as well as their technology skills.

When students tell their stories, we all win.

Script writing, filming, and editing are the practical ways students working on film products will increase literacy, problem-solving, and decision-making. Creating a film product piques their interest, generates buy-in, and makes for more fun, compelling assignments.

This project will directly impact historically underfunded classrooms.
