With a diverse mix of multi-cultural backgrounds, our school has some of the brightest students in the state of Oklahoma. Our students are creative, insightful, and inventive.
Our high school and mid-high serves roughly 350 students in a rural setting from a variety of economic backgrounds.
Through our classes and available programs, we attempt to provide real world experiences and knowledge that our students can utilize for years to come. Journalism will provide a new avenue for our students to express themselves.
My Project
It's been several years since our high school has been able to offer journalism as a full-credit class. Due to this, our equipment has become outdated. Our current camera has trouble recognizing that the lense is attached and the batteries are having trouble staying charged. As such, we have become dependent upon parents and even the local newspaper photographer to supplement our supply of photographs to preserve the memories of each year for our students.
With a new camera, students will be taught to correctly shoot and edit as well as create artistic expressions of their fellow classmates and other school mates.
