My Students

I will be teaching remote 2nd grade class this year with 30 students. My students come from all races and backgrounds and are very willing to learn. I have a diverse range of learners in my classroom including newcomers who have just entered the country. The thing they have in common is that they all come eager to learn and grow each day! Our day starts off with morning meeting where we can touch base and greet each other. Having such a large class this year, I want to make sure that I have the technology that supports them.

My goal is to ease the anxiety of my students as much as possible to make learning as enjoyable as possible.

They come to school so eager to learn but need a lot of support academically, socially, and emotionally. These students become our children, and we strive to take care of them as much as we can in order to foster their success. My goal is to prepare them academically with a sense of belonging and success.

My Project

In March, as we all know, we had to unexpectedly switch to remote learning due to the pandemic. This situation was quick and we did the best we could, but it was not without problems! While some of us are able to go in to the building, I myself will be working from home to work with the large amount of remote students our school has and to keep us all safe.

This pandemic has made the realization even greater of how important it is to have access to quality remote technology tools.

This year, when remote instruction starts, I would like to ensure that I will be prepared with reliable devices that can keep my students connected and engaged. This iMac is large enough that I can see all my students at the same time and really keep the conversation going! Who knows what will happen this year but whether we end up going back to school, iMacs are easily portable as all in one powerhouses. This computer is faster and more compatible than the older model I currently have and will provide a seamless remote experience for my students. I also need a new printer since the one I have no longer works!

Thank you so much for your time and consideration!
