Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Our school is an urban school composed of predominately Hispanic and Latino students. 90% of our students are from disadvantaged households.

These materials will allow my students an opportunity they would not otherwise be able to have.

They will be conducting dissections of representatives from the major animal groups. With these, they will then obtain a better understanding of the anatomy of animals. They will also learn about comparative anatomy.

This project is imperative to the impact of this class on these students. Without these materials, students will be forced to rely on simple pictures.

This project will directly impact historically underfunded classrooms.
