Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My amazing first, second, and third graders love to learn. My students have unique learning styles and needs. I am proud to be their teacher and love watching my wonderful young learners grow. They are eager to soak up all the learning and fun that they can.

I believe in providing my students with a learning environment that encourages academic achievement, enriching activities, access to diversity and multicultural experiences and let's not forget fun and excitement.

We are in need of a few items to ensure our day runs smoothly. We need of dry erase markers. We use Expo markers daily. They are used for reading, writing and math activities. We use them during whole group and small group instruction. My students also like to use them during free time. In our classroom, Expo markers are a necessity.

We are also in need of mesh zip pouches. These are also a resource that we utilize in various ways. I use them to store puzzles, math manipulatives, classroom game pieces, and storage for small group ELA resources. They come in many sizes and my students can easily access the materials through the sturdy zipper.

Cut, Cut, Cut! We need larger scissors. My older students want scissors to fit their growing fingers. Scissors are an essential classroom supply, and they need to fit appropriately.

Finally, the file folder stand will be used to store puzzles that are placed in our new mesh pouches. This will help keep our puzzle area neat and organized.

Thank you for supporting my students and our classroom. These materials will help them continue to learn, grow and have an amazing time learning.
