This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

The items requested will have a profound impact on the learning environment and well-being of my students. A cozy corner serves as a designated space where children can retreat when feeling overwhelmed, anxious, or in need of a break. By providing this sensory hideaway, I am creating a comfortable and calming atmosphere that promotes relaxation and emotional regulation. This, in turn, enhances their ability to focus, engage in learning activities, and develop essential self-regulation skills.

My primary goal for this project is to create a nurturing and supportive environment where my Pre-K students feel valued, safe, and empowered to learn and grow.

By establishing a cozy corner, I aim to promote social-emotional development by teaching children how to recognize and manage their emotions in a positive way. We strive to cultivate a sense of belonging and community within our classroom, where every child's unique needs and interests are honored and respected.

My students are incredibly special because of their boundless curiosity, creativity, and resilience. Each child brings a unique perspective and set of strengths to our classroom community, enriching our learning environment in countless ways. They are enthusiastic and eager learners who approach each day with a sense of wonder and excitement.
