Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

New year means new essentials! We need to restock on our favorite classroom treats and some basic essentials (water bottles, wipes, and sanitizers). School provided meals aren't always our favorite, so having these snacks on hand really comes in clutch. Graham crackers and ritz crackers gives us the most bang for our buck and the gummies and animal cookies are quick reinforcers/rewards for when we're having rockstar moments. A lot of us have sensitivity to certain textures, tastes, and smells that come with school provided meals. Our teacher still offers them to us daily, but on days where the food is too slimy or too potent, we GREATLY appreciate when he opens the drawer with the crackers. Otherwise, we'd have no reason to eat during class or sit during mealtime. If we don't like the food, why even sit?

Meal time is essential in helping us master our functional self-help skills and we really don't want to miss out on that!

Thank you for helping add a little bit of sugar, spice, and everything nice to our classroom snack drawer! Aka: Keeping us healthy, well fed, and safe :)
