These learning rugs have been a great addition to our classroom. At first I thought it was just a coincidence, so we moved our number rug, and our kids followed! These have been such a fun and simple way to add intention and learning potential to our classroom environment. The lead rope has made a smaller impact, but we're slowly beginning to make it work. Thank you all so so much for helping bring this project to my students. Thank you so much for funding this amazing literacy project for my students and each of their communities! This was such a fun and collaborative project. It involved students, families, and their neighborhood. We're taught to bridge the gap between school and home. This project took it a step further and bridged the gap between school - home - community. Truly amazing! I heard nothing but positive praise from my families as their kids shared one of their favorite books with a child in their neighborhood. I made simple direction flyers to go along with the books to ensure parents and students understood the task.
