Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

With the 100th day of school around the corner, I'd like to provide my students with a little extra fun while helping to fill their tummies. Most of the included snacks will go to a 100th day of school trail mix we create in class. Each item is placed in a large bowl, then each child goes around and creates their trail mix, as they count 10-20 of each item until they reach 100 items. So not only are they doing some math as they count their way to 100, but they get to eat their own creation at the end!

Snacks will help keep their brains and bodies regulated during our daily tasks and challenges.

The squishies and ring pops will go in our classroom store, where they can buy these items once they earn 10 pompoms for being kind, responsible, and/or respectful toward others. The Valentine's Day packs will be shared with them during our Valentine's Day exchange where they write notes, filling each other's buckets, while putting a smile on each other's faces.
