Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
I teach inner city students who are very excited to learn.
Life is very challenging for my students and their families due to poverty and language limitations.
All of my students receive free breakfast and lunch at school daily. Our school operates on a limited budget and funding is scarce!
All of my students deserve to have new and beautiful materials. They are eager to learn new concepts and my class will greatly benefit from any materials they are given.
My Project
My students are in desperate need of extra food at school and at home. During these difficult times my families are trying to make ends meet and sometimes do not have enough food daily.
My families are having a tough time providing meals, snacks and drinks.
Many are struggling and go hungry because a parent has lost their job and they do not have enough money to buy groceries. My students are so grateful for anything our school provides but it still is not enough. These food items would big as a big difference to all of my families.
