This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students are such a fun group full of energy! Not only do my students come from varying ethnic backgrounds, but also from different parts of the world! They enjoy being read to, doing math, and dancing. They were real troopers navigating through this digital world.

My students have faced many social emotional challenges this year and are more than ready to have some normalcy in their lives.

I want to provide them with a sense of ownership and stability in our classroom, all while maintaining social distancing guidelines.

My Project

My students have struggled this year with their mental health. They have spend the entire year way from their friends. They now get to attend school and be social with their peers. They need supplies and materials that they can use while maintaining social distancing regulations. They need a place to keep their supplies apart from others.

These SitSpots will help guide my students to keep a safe distance from their peers in the classroom, all while being able to interact with one another.

They will use the highlighters for classwork. They will have individual pencil holders to store their supplies. These material will give them a sense of belonging and acceptance.
