This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
There is no limit in what we can do; through video we can bring social change and develop the artistic, critical literacy and career skills of young people!
I am a first grade teacher who teaches in a high need community in a public school.
We keep borrowing!!! It leaves us with no time to get things done. We want to bring social change through the use and POWER of VIDEO (creating short documentaries) with our OWN SUPPLIES. I introduced various innovative ways to get our message across in the school and in our community and one day the WORLD, my students were excited BUT know what we have to face with shortages of supplies and or NO supplies at all. We need supplies to help get our message across.
We need 2 camcorders to get started. This will help us engage in meaningful HANDS-ON experiences that are combined with MINDS-ON experiences to bring social change through the power of video. Help us and our community make this happen. Students from all across the grades will benefit as they help bring social change through the power of video. Thank you for your time and consideration.
Your help with ensure that my students and the students in the school all across the grades K-8 have MULTIPLE OPPORTUNITIES to bring about social change. We love to MOVE FORWARD by the power of video and engage all students in creative inquiry based projects on current issues of importance to them. We can integrate English, Social Studies, Art and Technology into video projects as they develop literacy, research, critical thinking and civic management skills. HELP!!!!!!!! Hope to hear from you soon!
