My Project

Before COVID-19, my students came to school knowing that school was a safe place where they could come to learn and have fun. But after the wild roller coaster ride, everyone has been on since 2020...everything changed, and we have to teach and learn the new normal. My students are resilient. They understand, "You went to school to learn things you never knew...Like "I" before "E" except after "C" and why 2 plus 2 makes 4!" But, I still have to teach them things like "Love."

"Sit yourself down, take a seat -All you gotta do is repeat after me, "You are important and matter because a person is a person no matter how small."

As a teacher, I have the skills to "Tell you what it's all about...Reading, writing, and arithmetic are the branches of the learning tree. But without the roots of love every day...your education ain't complete!" My students need to learn how to love themselves, each other and the learning process to get the most out of coming to school each day. The "My Class is Full of Sweet Hearts " T-shirts for Valentine's Day will gently remind them that they are cared about and for in our 2nd classroom. The additional Valentine's trinkets are just little tokens of appreciation. Love is as simple as "Do re mi, A B C, 1 2 3." "It's like counting up to 3 or singing simple melodies; that's how easy love can be!" Let the children get back to being children...curious, loving, passionate, tiny little human beings..living without worry or fear!
