This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

I teach fourth grade to a bright group of scholars who are excited and eager to learn. They are curious and creative, always trying to explore the world around them. The pandemic took a toll on some of our learning and I’m trying to bridge those gaps and keep them engaged and growing.

My goal is to help these students grow both as scholars and as productive citizens.

In order to do that, I want to create as many new opportunities for them as I can. I want to ensure I meet all of my students' needs and allow them to learn through exploring.

My Project

These materials will help my students pick different seating options. We spend so much time learning in the classroom and it is important for students to have a voice and a choice when it comes to where and how they're sitting. These yoga balls will improve core muscle while keeping students engaged and focused in a fun learning environment.

I want my students to have a a voice and a choice when it comes to seating arrangements in the classroom.

This is their first year back in the classroom after a year on Zoom and it is important to engage my scholars holistically-both physically and mentally.
