Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

As I prepare for the next school year, I am implementing a beginning of the year illustration unit to prepare kids to illustrate and to become confident in drawing. The unit stresses the use of different skin tones. I want my kids to have choices to color their skin tones. Having a class set of skin colored crayons is a great addition to my art supplies.

Plop into a quiet place to learn.

Sometimes a different environment is just what is needed to motivate a child to read. A class set of bean bags will allow my students to have a different choice when reading for fun.

At times, we need a quick cleanup. Having a classroom vacuum is handy and gives us a fast way to tidy the room.
