I have used Scholastic News in my classroom for years. The different topics are always of interest to my students and always integrate nicely with what we are learning in science and social studies. Students love reading and following along with the audio that the magazine provides. The subjects are engaging and allow for differentiation. I use the magazine in a whole group setting as well as in individual center time. Students can read, write and complete the student work pages that Scholastic provides. The activities provide independence in students.
