My Students
Look up multitasking in the dictionary, and you would see a picture of me calming one child, disciplining a second, and listening to a third, all during attendance, the first five minutes of the day. I wouldn't have it any other way! I love teaching PPCD (Preschool Program for Children with Disabilities)!
My group ranges in various disabilities, in a low-income community.
As a teacher in a high poverty school district, my students are faced with several challenges, both in and out of the classroom. To combat the many challenges they face, I am looking to keep things simple and provide my students with creative and meaningful learning experiences.
My Project
In our current curriculum, we change themes every four weeks As teachers, we spend more time at school on many days than we do at home providing a space that children love. In this project, I am asking for a Melissa and Doug Diner, costumes, and toy food to help with our ever changing themes. Just like with everything else in education, classroom décor for each theme is cyclical. Themes help to give the class an identity and bring everyone together as a team—right from the start! And with this diner theme for preschool idea will surely satisfy your students' appetites for learning!
