My students need The Ramps and Balls Exploration Set and The Create a Chain Reaction Stem Kits. They will help start our youngest learners to plan, build, and collaborate with their peers.

Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My students are my children. My classroom consists of 25 children from all different backgrounds. I have a large percent of beginner English language learners. The rest of my class consists of students with special needs and general education students.
More importantly my students are funny, energetic, creative, frustrated, shy, silly, curious, but most of all resilient.
All the diversity makes for a great teaching experience, but it also makes it difficult to meet the various needs of the students in my classroom.
Every morning I start fresh and do my best to reach the needs, whatever they may be, of each child. My school has a very large population of low, socio-economic students. My school is a title one school. Many of the children live in shelters and live in large multi-generational households. It would be awesome to give all these children the opportunity to meet their optimal potential.
My Project
As curriculums, standards, and expectations change throughout the years, it is important as a kindergarten teacher, to change and adapt to meet student’s individual needs and goals. Some teachers fear change. I welcome change; it gives me the opportunity to learn more and reach all my young learners.
It is important to have goal oriented centers to encourage higher order thinking, purposeful play and risk taking.
For this very reason, I would love and welcome your donations to create and build fun, playful, and engaging STEM centers which revolve around math and science. The Ramps and Balls Exploration Set, The Create a Chain Reaction Stem Kits, and The Write & Wipe Building Mats would help start our youngest learners to plan, build, and collaborate with their peers.
Hands on math and science centers, such as the Build a Number House, Snap-Bots, Following Directions Building Set, and Where Do I Live Animal Match; helps by allowing each learner to stay engaged within his/her academic ability.
With the use of kinetic sand, within science centers, children will be able to create animal habitats. The sand will also be used in math centers to reinforce counting, making patterns, and creating 3-D shapes. Children learn in different ways. I would like to be able to tap into every learner’s mind and build on their thinking and planning skills. Your donations will help me achieve my goals as a kindergarten teacher.
Not only will your donations help create future engineers and scientist but, it will help every child in my kindergarten class build background knowledge, develop strong language skills, and social skills. I look forward to watching my students learn and grow as individuals and as young learners through STEM, math and science centers.
