This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My fourth grade students are great. They are inquisitive and intelligent.

However, most of our female students are entering Puberty and need a little help starting a personal hygiene routine.

For the most part, the girls are not fully aware of the changes that are occuring in their bodies and do not understand how those changes mean that hygiene is different and more involved than it was when they were younger.

Most of us remember those awkward times when puberty began. This is an especially challenging time for females. That is why I thought I would create little bags for the girls to take home so they understand self-care and can begin using proper products.
