This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

The visual and performing arts gives children an outlet for creativity, expression, imagination, building confidence, making strong friendship bonds and being able to use their talents in a way that brings joy to everyone involved.

So many schools now, in our area, have taken out the arts entirely because of time and funding. I am fortunate enough to work at a school where the arts is a high priority.

My Project

The volunteer costumers will make amazing pieces of art for the junior high musical theater productions with these machines.

The heavy duty Singer sewing machines will play a vital role in the Musical theater program and will help the students look beautiful on the stage.

These Singer heavy duty sewing machines are extremely helpful for sewing thicker and more difficult fabrics and l will last longer. These sewing machines are also very helpful with novice sewers.

Many audience members have commented on the incredible design and beauty of the costumes from previous shows and we would like to continue these efforts.

It will also make it easier for all the volunteers to sew.
