Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My students have a gardening class in which they learn about their planet and all of the wonderful things our planet provides us.
Hands on learning opportunities create engagement and spark learning in my classroom.
I will be teaching my students about Earth day and why it is important to conserve our resources to help the planet. I will emphasize the importance of making Earth day everyday. The aprons I am requesting will be used when we go outside to clean plants or gather materials like soil. The plates and potting materials will be used to have in classroom plants.
I will also have my students complete art projects based on plant and animal conservation. The butterfly cut outs will be used when we discuss how to help conserve monarchs. Also, the paint stix, glue and pens will be used to create animal paintings.
