Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

These athletes are learning a new sport. Volleyball can be such a fun sport but can be a hard sport to learn. Using this equipment it will give them the confidence to dive for balls and to practice their techniques for serving the ball easier. For most of these athletes, they come from low income households. Therefore, buying knee pads are not part of their budget. Without kneepads, it can lead to injuries especially when this game requires players to dive all over the court for balls.

Playing against schools in our league that have been playing this sport for years can be very hard and discouraging for my athletes.

With the help from Donors Choose, I hope it will give them the confidence that people care about them and support their athletic ability to gain more skills and techniques.
