My Students
Students in my kindergarten classroom come to school excited about learning. Most of my students come from low-income families, and all the students at my school receive free breakfast and lunch. This background can mean that students’ families cannot afford to purchase needed school supplies. Unfortunately, some of the students in my class are experiencing homelessness, which can mean that they lack items to meet their most basic needs.
My students deserve to receive the best education possible so that they are able to succeed in school and in life.
These boys and girls have such awesome attitudes, and they try their best every day!
My Project
Recess is one of my kindergarten students' favorite times of the day. They love being able to run around outside, play on the playground equipment and have fun together. We have a nice blacktop area where students can play basketball or four square. They love playing together and will often play their own games with rules that they have created together.
I am requesting a set of various sized playground balls and an equipment card, so my students can have balls to use when playing basketball, four square and their own made up games.
These balls will allow students to engage in fitness related activities, work on interpersonal skills and have fun. They will use more of their energy at recess and this will help them have better focus in the classroom. The equipment cart is small enough to fit in our classroom and will help my students keep our playground balls organized. We will share the balls with the other kindergarten students, so your donation will impact four kindergarten classes.
