Our school is a Title One school with approximately 95% of the students qualifying for free lunch.

I have a first grade class of 32 students who are from various backgrounds. My students arrive to my classroom each day excited and anxious to learn!

My Project

My students sit at desks with hard plastic chairs. Some of my students have difficulty focusing during instruction. These yoga balls will help them to focus and give them the movement they need to keep the blood flowing and their brains stimulated. Studies have shown that when students sit on stability balls, both sides of their brains are engaged in keeping their bodies centered on the balls. When the brain is stimulated, it is more focused on learning.

By donating to this project and helping purchase these balls, students in my class will be able to focus more on instruction and assignments.

My goal is to do whatever it takes for my children to become successful learners.
