My Students

My students are learning in two languages. I teach in a Dual Language Classroom.Everyday they come to school excited to learn. They love learning, and love coming to school every day.

I teach at a Title I school in Syracuse New York, where 100 percent of our students receive free breakfast and lunch.

Despite their hardships, my students are eager to learn and do their best. They want to be in school because they want to learn, see their friends, and learn a second language.

My Project

Students are engaged in centers most of the day. Students need a chance to move while they are learning. Students in the Kindergarten Dual Language program participate in Blended Learning. They have individual reading conferences, and use adaptive computer programs. They spend most of their time learning in centers, that are personalized to their needs.

Students also need wiggle seats!

It is hard to sit still when you are 5 years old. These seats will not only help students focus it will also strengthen their core muscles! This will help our student to engage in about an 3 hours of ELA, SLA, ENL and Math centers daily.
