My students are working from home at this time. We are using Google Classroom, Google Meets, and other resources for academics. My students talk about how they feel. They are being affected by feeling nervous about the virus, stressed seeing families ill, and experiencing more feelings they have not had to deal with before.
I will use these resources by hosting live virtual classes online for my class and other students from our school that will incorporate mindfulness, stress relief, growth mindset, and yoga to help students learn to monitor their feelings and self talk during this time of learning from home. The books and games will help to provide literacy and games through yoga.
I believe it is important for everyone to stay healthy both physically and mentally.
Students will be able to learn how to monitor their feels and coping strategies for how they feel all in a fun and safe setting. They will be able to find calmness whether home life or school life is adding stress to their day. Yoga and a mindfulness practice will change their way of thinking in a positive direction.
