This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

We are learning to read books. Yippee!!! But we also need to be able to read texts and do apps now not tomorrow.

We are eager to learn kindergarten students who are just learning that letters have sounds, and sounds can make words, and we can not only read those words but also write them too!

Technology is a tool that is helping us learn and we need to be ready for our tomorrows by getting ready today. We are inner city and poor but that will not define us. We are students who are ready and who want to learn and to succeed. We can succeed and be ready for today and all of our tomorrows.

My Project

My students need an iPad mini with a case, the technology of today, so they are ready for tomorrow. Technology is a tool that is used every day in our ever changing world. The use of the tablet will allow the students the opportunity to utilize technology at their fingertips. Sharing is caring as we teach in Kindergarten, so partners will utilize the tablet to teach collaborate learning and team building. Downloaded books and apps will allow additional resources to be at a fingertips and the use of approved Google apps will allow the children to discover and explore the world as they search for their topic of their choice, be it the birth of the panda at the Washington National Zoo, to the flight of the Wright Brothers. Yes, they are so interested in this!

It may only be one iPad requested, but it will make a difference on many lives.

Kindergarten is the foundation for all learning and technology needs to be a part of their foundation.
