My Project

The reason my project is called "Yes, I Can't Help It, Another Book Project" is that, if you check my past projects, you will see there are several book projects. It's a fact that I have a lot of books already. But it is an undeniable fact that I have one of the best classroom libraries around. One of the reasons for this is that I am always on the lookout for new books that will grab my readers' attention.

Researching new, relevant, timely books that my kids will enjoy is something I love to do.

I check various websites, blogs, social media teacher collaboration groups, etc. in order to find the best book choices.

The focuses of this project are classic novels that have been adapted into graphic novels. This way, students can read the graphic novel to pique their interest, and later they can go back and read the original version. Another thing I am looking for is books with diverse, relatable topics. For instance, one of the books in this project is about book censorship and book banning. This has been a topic of interest and debate in my class this year.

Even though I have quite a few book projects, please help make this one happen for our class. Thank you for your consideration.
