My Students

Living in College Park, there hasn't been a year that went by where I did not teach a talented student. Working with local College Park students at TMSA showed me this first hand! I've taught many advanced students, dancers, authors, rappers, singers, and artists! What I have learned about them is that if they feel at home, this is when they will learn the best.

Our team at TMSA serves students K-8 and promotes our eight core values (Wisdom, Justice, Responsibility, Respect, Hope Integrity, Courage, and Compassion) every day.

Many of our parents serve as volunteers to our school and community, and our staff are always looking for opportunities for TMSA students to succeed.

My Project

Yes Flex Zone! After teaching for 3 years, I noticed that at some point all of my students love to change their seats, many even prefer to not have a seat! For this upcoming year, I want my students to take charge of their learning envionment, and to be their "BEST" selves in school. Being in a chair/desk for 8 hours can be draining for many students, so normally I would allow them to stand, sit on the floor, and more every day!

Having many seating options such as balance balls, stools, yoga mats, wobble chairs, and more will only promote learning, and motivate our students to stay on task.

I believe that with the help of our donors, we will be able to expand on our students learning and growth! I want our students to feel at home, and to be excited to come to school everyday. Creating flexible seating options for them will be a great way to see that come to fruition.
