This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Our yearbook photos don't create themselves. Our students need to get out into the school and snap some pics.

These kids want to put together an amazing yearbook for the school.

Our school is growing by 250+ kids this year as we merge with another school. The school and our students are going to face interesting challenges as these two worlds come together. The yearbook students want to carefully document this historic year for our school

My Project

This camera will allow our kids to document every event that happens in our school this year and beyond. The kids taking the photos will learn photography skills. Once they have the photos, we'll transfer them into the yearbook spread as the kids also learn layout and design skills.

The days of taking film photos, waiting for them to be developed, and cropping by hand are over (even though they're still going to learn how).

This digital camera will allow these kids to properly document this school year and include it into our written history.
