This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Project
School supplies can be expensive. With your donations, my students will not have to worry about the basics to start to the new school year. Being a Resource teacher, I instruct and motivate 25 students in grades Kindergarten to 2nd grade. Pencils, dry erase markers, and glue sticks are all so important for my students to be able to learn. Copy paper is needed to reinforce skills in word identification and reading. Printing information from Science of Reading (UFLI) is necessary for growth. The newsprint is needed to help them become the best readers and writers that they can possibly be. They need the basics to succeed. Let's set them up for success for the new school by providing basics needs for our classroom. These supplies will benefit 25 students that qualify for Special Education in my Resource classroom.
