This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

As I am moving to a new school midway through the year, my students have been excellent at welcoming me and proving their strong work ethic.

My students are full of spunk and creativity!

They are eager to learn and explore. I think they deserve to see authentic and exciting art practices.

My Project

We are currently working on clay projects- which my students love! So far, we have learned about how clay is sustainable, how our ancestors used it, and more. It has been fun to see the connections students make and their excitement about working with this messy and moldable material. We have been working with limited supplies and we are running low, so it's time to stock up!

To continue to explore possibilities with clay, we would like to replenish our supplies.

We will also use clear glaze to professionalize the look of our creations.
