This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I have some of the most incredible, inquisitive students! They want to learn how to make their own accessories with the skill of knitting, a skill that will serve them for the remainder of their lives. They will learn that this skill can not only provide comfort when they need warmth, they will also learn that knitting is a productive and soothing practice that can calm anxiety, something that has been debilitating for many young people. Your donation will provide my sweet students with the tools they need to learn how to create scarves, blankets, sweaters and more. Please help me teach these life-long learners how to provide their own necessities with the skill of knitting.
