My Students

I am an English 1 and 2 teacher. In my classroom, we make memories, work hard, and celebrate achievements.

My students are diverse, unique, and full of life--they all learn differently, but one thing is the same; they are all capable of moving mountains.

No matter the home life, IQ, race, or gender of my students, I believe they are all capable of succeeding in my class, in high school, in college, and in life. I hope to give these students the tools that they need to move forward and be the best that they can be. Diversity is celebrated in my classroom, and I strive to make each student feel welcome and at home. These are more than just my students, they are family.

My Project

This project includes new young adult literature books and graphic novels that will be added to our classroom library. I am always trying to find new books to encourage my students to read. With this project, a wider variety of books and genres will be available for my students whenever they want to read them!

I believe that adding in some graphic novels will encourage reluctant readers to pick up a book and read for fun!

Some of my students are more engaged by visuals, and these books will give them the opportunity to see reading in a new light.
