My Students

I teach an amazing group of students who love to sing, move and play in music class! I teach over 400, 1st -5th grade students who energetically engage in music and the arts each week. I am lucky to work with this fabulous group of kids!

My Project

All students love to play instruments in music class! Right now we only have enough xylophones for one or two students to play at a time. Students use xylophones to accompany songs, to improvise and to create. With additional instruments, all students will be able to play!

Students are fully engaged and excited to make music when using instruments!

Students practice important skills like steady beat, melodic direction, dynamics and form. Students demonstrate team work by performing in a large group as well as creating in small groups. They will gain confidence in themselves and their musical ability through performing.

There are over 400 students in my school and they will all benefit from these instruments. They will be able to move, sing and play in music class every day!
